I had the great pleasure of seeing yesterday at The Royal Albert Hall the epic masterpiece of the UK premiere of the musical in concert 'Kristina' (originally titled Kristina från Duvemåla) as this was a one off performance and not to be repeated it was a very special evening. I was on assignment from the Swedish Newspaper Expressen.

This was ABBA's Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus latest project, and also included another Swede Helen Sjöholm who is one of Sweden's most beloved performers. Helen had an amazing performance and received her first standing ovation just half way through the concert.

I love the work of Björn and Benny and I have seen their other classics 'Chess' in London and I even managed to see 'Mamma Mia' in both London and Stockholm.

Kristina tells the story of one woman and her family's struggle in Sweden and their subsequent emigration to America in search of a better life. Originally produced in Sweden, this moving musical has won awards and critical acclaim and is the most popular musical theatre piece in Swedish history.
