Leonie and Philip

Today we had our rehearsal with Leonie and Philip who are going to have their wedding in the glorious village of Penshurst in Kent.

Their ceremony will be held at the church of St John the Baptist. The church is rich in history and there has been a place of worship on the site since the 12th century, the present day church is a sandstone building from the 15th century.

Their reception will be held at the magnificent Penshurst Place with its mediaeval manor house that lies in picturesque gardens.
Their guests will have dinner in the Baron's Hall built in 1341 - it is an amazing hall which is lit by four impressive candelabra hanging from the 60ft high roof.

The manor houses and castles around Kent are extremely popular for weddings, Leonie and Philip booked the Penhusrt Palace 1 year ago - which is no time at all compared to some brides ... rumor has it that some brides book key summer dates 2 or 3 years in advance - and do not yet have a boyfriend.

Leonie and Philip are a great couple and their friends and relatives are going to have a wonderful time in amazing surroundings steeped in history and charm - a wonderful English countryside wedding.

Passionate about Wedding Photography

Anna & Julians images from their Stockholm wedding were completed yesterday and were posted online late last night and in our inbox this morning was this lovely mail:

Oh. My. God. OHMYGOD.
We're absolutely blown away!!! THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!! We're just so ridiculously happy with all the pictures, they are just perfect. You've really captured everything about that very special day, and we looked through them laughing and crying (again). I don't have the words to thank you properly, I wish you could hear us howling with joy in the new apartment. We love you!

And last week Aletta & Chris's images from their London wedding went online and we received this lovely mail:

How are you? Thanks for the wedding photos they are great! Everyone is very impressed and amazed at the photos you and Marianne managed to take without being noticed! Have you considered new jobs as secret agents? :)

Anna and Julian's Wedding

Ceremony & Reception: Park III, Stockholm.
Brides Wedding Dress: Kerstin Boulogner.
Groom's Attire: Martin Eneroth - Uppklädd.

Anna and Julian were married in Stockholm yesterday. They had luck with the weather, the early mornings wind and rain turned out to be a beautiful sunny spring day.

This wedding was full of energy and emotion. They both got ready in separate rooms at the Hotel Rival - a modern designer hotel owned by ABBA's Benny Andersson. Up until the last minute Anna was busy and she even found time to bind her own bridal bouquet.

Julian's Best Man Robert was a perfect example of how a Best Man should be - he fetched Anna and her girlfriends lunch and he made sure there was chocolates and bananas on hand to keep everybody's energy levels on a high - he was so helpful in getting Julian ready that Julian has now decided he would like a personal butler.

Before leaving together for their outdoor service Anna and Julian met up for the first time in the park outside the Hotel. Julian waited in the park and Anna crept up behind him, it was an emotional moment as they saw each other for the first time. The emotions continued at the service and looking around I noticed that many of their friends and family were also shedding tears.

There is a lot happening for Anna and Julian, in just 4 days time they will pack the last of their possessions in the car together with their 2 cats and will drive to the North of Sweden were their new jobs, home and married life awaits them.

Marianne and Geoff

Yesterday we had our planning rehearsal with Marianne and Geoff.

Their wedding will be held at Micklefield Hall - an elegant Grade II Listed Georgian House that was designed by Sir John Soane in the early 18th Century. Walking around the grounds and looking out over the peaceful Hertfordshire countryside it is hard to imagine that the hustle and bustle of central London is just 25 miles away. The Halls owners Anna & Jamie have this year erected a new marquee which commands amazing views over the estate.

Marianne and Geoff are such a lovely couple and it was great to have met up with them again. They have picked an amazing location for their wedding and their 200+ guests will be treated to a fantastic day.
On the day Marianne will be given away by her father and when they leave the hall for the service they will walk together down a 100m long garden path to where Geoff and their guests will be waiting. It is a beautiful walk and in August all the flowers and roses will be in bloom and it will make for an amazing entrance for Marianne - I am sure that during the walk there will be many thoughts and emotions for Marianne, likewise for Geoff as he sees his beautiful bride coming towards him.

Gwen and Martin

We were visited in our Stockholm office today by Gwen and Martin who had just flown in from New York.
Gwen and Martin are now on their way to Sweden's west coast where they will finalise the planning for their destination wedding.

The west coast is our favourite area of Sweden and we look forward to seeing them again on their wedding day in August.
Their reception will be held in a large converted wooden warehouse which is located on the sea front with its own steam boat jetty where their guests will be able to watch the renowned sunsets - it's going to be magical.
