DWF Wedding Photographers Convention Day 3-4
|
| |
|
| |
|
| |
The weather has been fantastic 23°c and clear blue skies every day.
Apparently a visiting hollywood writer was so intrigued by a local Cave Creek family called the Cartwrights that it inspired him to produce the classic 'Bonanza' series.
We have been on some excellent seminars by the following photographers:
Denis Reggie, John Michael Cooper, Justine Ungaro, Tony Florez and Tony Corbell.
And more to come: Rosalind, The Regetis, Christa Hoffarth, Neil Van Niekerk. Mindy Sonshine, Storey Wilkins, Mike Fulton, Cody Clinton and Jason Groupp.

DWF Wedding Photographers Convention Day 1-2
|
| |
|
| |
|
| |
|
| |
The first 2 days of the convention have been excellent, last nights keynote speech by Photographer David A Williams was riviting.
Yesterdays presentation by Photographers Steve & Jen Bebb was inspiring and their vision of 'Fusion Photography' is something we also share and we will probably be offering our couples in the very near future.
In the nearby village of Cave Creek are a string of desert reclamation stores offering a colletion of artifacts and abstract art, amazing places to wander around in and a paradise for kitsch lovers.

Awesome Arizona
|

|

|

|
| |
We are in Arizona for the DWF Wedding Photographers Convention.
Are expectations are high and we hope to get lots of inspiration at the workshops during the next few days.
So nice to see the sun again. It is our first time in Arizona and the desert scenery is amazing, the magnificent Saguaro Cactus can reach a height of 12 meters and an age of up to 200 years.
We
arrived a couple of days ahead of the convention so we would have time to visit the Grand Canyon which has always been on my 'must visit' list - it was as they say often here ... awesome!
I am originally from Cheddar in Somerset ... some how Cheddar Gorge will never be the same again. |

Deborah & James's Wedding
|
| |
|
| |
|
| |
|
| |
Ceremony: St Nicholas Church, Chiswick, London.
Reception: The Roebuck Pub, Chiswick, London.
Deborah and James were married on Saturday. They had been planning their wedding for a long time and it all turned out perfectly on the day - even the weather was perfect with the sun shining out of a clear blue sky.
It was a very personal wedding and you could tell that they had chosen and planned many aspects in great detail and their choices reflected their own personalities, tastes and style.
Deborah wore an amazing American Empire Style wedding dress, she had made her own matching tiara and even made James's cufflinks 'My own bit of Bling' said a smiling James to me as he got ready.
It was an emotional moment for James as he saw Deborah walking up the aisle towards him.
The service was very good and was held by The Reverent William Whyte who was also a personal friend of theirs, William's address was full of humour and he had the congregation laughing.
An old London Routemaster bus transported their guests to The Roebuck Pub where drinks were served before dinner.
The Roebuck was a great location for their reception and was also picked with care, the food was divine which we can vouch for.
Foie gras & chicken liver parfait with toast & macerated raisins.
------
Braised beef bourguignon with button mushrooms, baby onions, bacon lardons, spinach & mash.
------
Warm sticky toffee pudding with toffee sauce & vanilla ice cream.
-----
Selection of cheeses: Barkham Blue, Mont dÓr Badoz, Camembert Calvados, Comte & Golden Cross.
Later in the evening their favourite artists performed for them, first was Canadian singer-songwriter Amy Campbell followed by British singer-songwriter Thea Gilmore ... a great end to a perfect day. |

Our Wedding Couples
|
| |
|
| |
|
| |
|
| |
A New Year already ... 2008 went so fast.
We were extremely fortunate to have worked with some amazing couples last year, and we are now looking forward to our 2009 season and we have many weddings already booked.
Looking back on our past weddings we have noticed that our wedding couples have had a lot in common with each other ... who are our wedding couples?
Our couples require a professional service.
We hope that our testimonial pages from recent weddings reflect our high professional standards.
We normally meet our couples at least twice before their wedding day, firstly at our initial meeting and secondly at an on-location meeting held a few weeks before the wedding day.
Our couples have an interest in photography and share our love of black and white images combined with a mixture of rich colour images.
Our couples do not always feel comfortable in being photographed and appreciate our unobtrusive style where we are in the background capturing the moments and are not arranging or controlling the events.
Our couples wish for some portraits of themselves alone together but prefer these to be taken in a relaxed natural way.
We take the wedding portraits using natural light in a natural setting.
Our couples prioritise wedding photography and are willing to invest in a documentation of their very special day in a modern reportage form in which we are specialist Wedding Photographers.
