London Lights & Stockholm Tree

Some of London's most spectacular Christmas lights this year are found in Regent Street which is canopied with sculptural nets of light following the theme "Wish Upon a Star"
Fortnum & Masons on Piccadilly have some great window displays.

Stockholm does not have many Christmas lights but they do have the nicest looking Christmas tree which is also the biggest in the world, this Christmas tree tradition was started in 1996 by the deceased financier Jan Stenbeck.

The Christmas tree is in fact a designer tree and this year it is made up from 2000 selected branches from other spruce trees which are then trimmed into shape and then mounted on a 38 meter tall tree trunk and decorated with 5000 coloured lights.

We Wish You
A Merry Christmas | God Jul

Testimonial

We just received a really nice email (It made our day !!) from Alex & Martin in London who are giving us a recommendation for our testimonial page.

Dear Mark and Marianne

Thank you so much for being the most wonderful photographers we could have hoped for. The flexibility of being able to speak to you in either England or Sweden was amazing, and it was great fun never quite knowing which country we were going to see you in next!

The photos were outstanding and actually exceeded our expectations. Many couples struggle some months later to remember their day, but with you we have a fantastic journal in pictures of every moment and just the briefest flick through brings all the emotions rushing back, even some months later.

Our album is full of the most wonderful variety of pictures, but the most breath-taking by far (which you have to see to believe) are the full page spreads in perfectly crisp detail. It really is the most elegant keep-sake we could possibly have wanted.

Alexandra & Rod's Wedding

Ceremony and Reception: The Ritz Hotel, Mayfair, London.

For over a century The Ritz Hotel in London has been the benchmark by which other hotels are measured, it is synonymous with glamour, style, sophistication, elegance and romance all of which were part of Alexandra and Rod's fantastic wedding day held yesterday.
Within the Ritz is the William Kent House which is home to the finest banqueting in London, it was here that Alexandra and Rod held their wedding ceremony and dinner.

The ceremony went very well and Alexandra and Rod looked really happy to be surrounded by their family and friends.
Dinner was served around a beautifully decorated long table in the magnificent William Kent room - unknown to the guests 3 of the waiters were in fact opera singers from the performing artists 'The Three Waiters'.

Just before the main course was served one of the waiters started singing opera to the amazement of everybody, he said he was Italian and loved Italy and they had the worlds best opera singers - at this point one of the other waiters also stopped serving and started to sing saying he was French and the Italian waiter was stupid as naturally France had the best singers, the songs and banter went back and forth and was fantastic ... then suddenly to the further amazement of the guests a 3rd waiter started to sing saying he was English and naturally England have the best singers.

It was a riveting performance and was absolutely fantastic to have seen and heard - at the point 'The Three Waiters' reached their crescendo Rod looked at Alexandra drew her close and kissed her - it doesn't get any better than that.

Destination Winter Weddings

Destination Weddings are becoming increasingly popular with British Brides and an estimated 51,300 British couples will get married abroad this year.
It is not only 'Bikini Weddings' that are popular but also 'Snow Weddings' in Swedish Lapland and the Ice Hotel in the village of Jukkasjärvi, Sweden.

Not surprisingly with these facts in mind Debenhams has also seen a 38% increase in its winter wedding attire sales and hires this year, and is now considering extending its winter wedding range to include items such as white ear muffs, white knee-high boots, white fur lined coats, long johns and apparently even a ...white wedding night hot water bottle.

The Ice Hotel is a perfect winter wedding destination and is just a short flight from Stockholm.
One day when we were there there was a frozen mist that covered the floor of the Ice Bar which looked amazing, it was also cool (excuse the pun) to have your drinks served in ice rather than ice in your drinks.
