Ceremony and Reception:
The Ritz Hotel,
Mayfair, London.
For over a century The Ritz Hotel in London has been the benchmark by which other hotels are measured, it is synonymous with glamour, style, sophistication, elegance and romance all of which were part of Alexandra and Rod's fantastic wedding day held yesterday.
Within the Ritz is the William Kent House which is home to the finest banqueting in London, it was here that Alexandra and Rod held their wedding ceremony and dinner.
The ceremony went very well and Alexandra and Rod looked really happy to be surrounded by their family and friends.
Dinner was served around a beautifully decorated long table in the magnificent William Kent room - unknown to the guests 3 of the waiters were in fact opera singers from the performing artists 'The Three Waiters'.
Just before the main course was served one of the waiters started singing opera to the amazement of everybody, he said he was Italian and loved Italy and they had the worlds best opera singers - at this point one of the other waiters also stopped serving and started to sing saying he was French and the Italian waiter was stupid as naturally France had the best singers, the songs and banter went back and forth and was fantastic ... then suddenly to the further amazement of the guests a 3rd waiter started to sing saying he was English and naturally England have the best singers.
It was a riveting performance and was absolutely fantastic to have seen and heard - at the point 'The Three Waiters' reached their crescendo Rod looked at Alexandra drew her close and kissed her - it doesn't get any better than that.
