Ceremony: Glava Kryka, Glava, Värmland.
Reception: Hillringsbergs Herrgård, Hillringsberg, Värmland.
At 32° it was extremely hot on Gry and Jørn's Norwegian wedding day held yesterday in Sweden. It was so hot that Jørn and his best-man took a swim in the lake to cool down just an hour before the wedding. Jørn's wedding day started wet and was also to end wet.
Their wedding was held over 3 days, their travelling friends and family were gathered at a beautiful Country Estate on the shore of lake Glafsfjorden. The celebrations started with a BBQ on Friday evening and ended with a fair-well brunch on Sunday.
Gry and Jørn looked so happy all day long, they had planned this wedding day for a long time and it was ... 'A perfect wedding' ... everything was perfect - the location, the weather, the church and the service (with the super friendly vicar), and the Country Estate (with the very friendly staff).
After dinner it was still very hot in the evening, and as their guests made their way to the ballroom Gry and Jørn decided to cool down and 'trash the dress' and jumped into the fountain - they had great fun! the hotel staff that passed by couldn't quite believe what they were seeing.
30 minutes later their guests were being served coffee and cognac in the ballroom when suddenly Gry (after a quick change) appeared in a short white dress (As Jennifer Grey) and Jørn appeared dressed in black (As Patrick Swayze) the DJ flipped on the Dirty Dancing soundtrack and this couple went into action and gave to the shock, awe and delight of their guests an explosive dance routine that they had secretly been taking lessons for ... the encore went on for ever.

Ceremony: Okewood Church, Oakwoodhill, Surrey.
Reception: Smokejack Farm, Wallis Wood, Dorking, Surrey.
All week continuous bad weather had been rolling in off the Atlantic saturating the South East of England with heavy rain ... that was until today when the sun eventually showed its self and shone for Susie and Henry's wedding day.
The final arrangements for the reception started early in the morning at Smokejack Farm with the preparation of the hog roast that would take 8 hours to cook - and setting the tables in the marquee all of which was supervised by Charlie the collie.
On Fridays church rehearsal Henry arrived 30 minutes late due to traffic out of London, today Susie arrived 30 minutes late to the church due to a forgotten veil - it didn't matter as this couple have known each other since they were 3 years old and they have been waiting for each other and this day all their lives.
Their service was held at the 13th century Okewood Church which is tucked away in woods not far from the farm. As they left the church the sun shone on them and they looked so happy as did their friends and family, it was a great day and a perfect new start for them to continue spending the rest of their lives together.
...8 hours later we can vouch that the hog roast was excellent.
