Victoria & Peter's Wedding |

Victoria & Peter were married yesterday at Lidingö Church, their reception was held at the Nordic Blue Hotel.
The weather forecast for Stockholm the day before was not promising, but happily the weather people got it all wrong and we had the best possible weather with the sun shinning out of a clear blue sky - a truly wonderful autumn's day.
Victoria & Peter looked fantastic. When we met up with them for the early bridal portraits Victoria had a huge smile on her face ''what fantastic weather,'' she said. They say that brides have a special glow about them - Victoria certainly had one, she looked so happy and was smiling all the time.
The church service went very well, during which one of the younger bridesmaids sitting at the front said in a loud voice ''What nice shoes they have'' which brought laughter from their family and friends.
A great couple on a great day. |

Euro 2008 qualifier Sweden - N Ireland |

Sweden played against Northern Ireland in a Euro 2008 qualifier, the match finished 1-1. Sweden would have been automatically qualified had they won - the celebrations will have to wait .
There are 2 remaining matches left in the group Spain & the last match against Latvia which I will also be covering.
I was transmitting pictures directly from the pitch which Aftonbladet were publishing online just a couple of minutes later. |

Aifo the Swedish agents for Elinchrom the Swiss manufactures of professional lighting equipment have just published an article about us on how we use their equipment as wedding photographers at wedding receptions. [ Link ]
However in the late evenings at the wedding reception the light is often very poor at best, we do have all the 'fast' lenses that are required to cope with poor lighting but we feel that they are not good enough .. when the light is gone it is gone.
We have invested in the latest professional Elinchrom lighting equipment and we are able to give our clients quality images in the very poorest of lighting conditions.
Even though we work as Wedding Photojournalists one would expect that we use just the minimum of equipment - this is far from the truth, by setting the lighting at a reception venue we are able to shoot images remotely using wireless radio technology which enables us to capture all the candid and spontaneous moments in high quality images.
These are some of the wedding pictures we have taken this summer in Sweden and the UK using professional lighting techniques. |

Today we had our planning rehearsal with Victoria & Peter, they shall be getting married in just 2 weeks time at Lidingö Church.
There is a dominating large fine oil painting of Jesus on the cross hanging in the alter which was donated to the church in 1756, there are also some old sand timers mounted on the wall behind the pulpit where the sermons are read - I guess that the sermons in times gone by were not to have exceeded a certain length of time.
Peter's granddad was confirmed in this church nearly 100 years ago and their daughter was also baptised here so it a fitting place for this lovely couple to become married in.
Victoria and Peter showed us a fantastic place on the grounds of where their reception will be held where we can take the bridal portraits. There was a small pavilion in the woods and also a small natural beach by the sea - we are all hoping for good weather and are keeping our fingers crossed - check out this blog in 2 weeks time and you will see if we had good luck. |
