Nicole & Daniel's Wedding

Nicole & Daniel wedding was held yesterday in the German Church in the old town of Stockholm, their reception was held at Hasselbacken hotel on Djurgården in Stockholm.
Nicole & Daniel love the Old Town in Stockholm and it is one of their favourite places so it was the obvious choice as to where we would photograph them.
As we walked over the main square the people sitting in the outside restaurants applauded them as they passed by - which was pretty cool, many people also came up to them and congratulated them.
I would imagine they felt that they had the Perfect day everything went so well, great church and service, great weather, great company, great locations ...great wedding.
After the cutting of the cake their guests were treated to a fantastic firework display that never seemed to end, we left them after the first waltz.

Karin & Darius's Wedding |

Karin & Darius tied the knot in Siljansnäs on Saturday.
At the rehearsal dinner the evening before I noticed the sun setting over their church in the valley below, it was picked out in a warm glow - a fitting setting for this couple that are clearly in love with each other and who would be getting married the next day.
After dinner Darius surprised Karin with a fantastic firework display that lit up the whole valley and will be remembered in the village for a long time.
The wedding day was fantastic, the church was full not only with their many visiting family and friends from the USA and Sweden but also by many of the local villagers, 2 local newspapers were also present and will be publishing an account of the day for their readers.
The reception was held in a beautiful decorated enclosed marquee erected on the grounds of the farmstead where Karin grew up. |

We are going back to Siljansnäs which is going to be exciting, yesterday we had our planning rehearsal with Kristina & Mike from Virginia USA, they shall be getting married in Siljansnäs church in December.
Kristina & Mike are a great fun couple, I told Mike that I would follow them in our own car from the church to our joint visit to the venue location If you get lost turn left at the red house with the white trimmings said Mike with a smile on his face - (You have to have visited Sweden to fully understand his joke).
Their guests from Sweden and the USA will be visiting a fantastic setting for the evenings festivities at the åkerblads Hotel.
The hotel dates back to the 13th century and has seen 21 generations of the current Åkerblad family running the hotel dating back to the 15th century - their is a feeling of warmth about the place. its going to be a great day in some fantastic settings. |

Hannah & Gareth's Wedding |

Hannah & Gareth from England were married yesterday at the English Church (Anglican Episcopal Church) in Stockholm, their reception was held at Cedergrenska Tornet.
Heavy rain was forecasted yet we had bright sunshine out of a clear blue sky 'It would be nice to think we had something to do with it' said Nic the Vicar to me with a large smile on his face as got off his bike having arrived at the church.
Hannah looked fantastic.
Gareth had not seen her before the service and did not know how she would look on the day, whilst we were photographing Hannah he stood to one side 'How do I look' she asked, his look of awe and pride said a thousand words.
Marianne's picture of Hannah at the reception with the child under the veil was one of our favourites from the day. |

We had a pleasant time with Elena & Roger yesterday, their civil marriage was held in the beautiful grounds of Millesgården and was witnessed by friends and relations.
The weather was warm and sunny and Elena looked stunning, they both radiated love and happiness on his beautiful day. |

Swedish daily newspaper Svenska Dagbladet published an 5 page article yesterday about weddings in Sweden, they were with us at Lisa and Mark's Swedish English wedding the previous weekend. |
