Midsummer's Eve

| |
Midsummer's Eve celebrated with friends over a long traditional lunch served with snaps, herring, new potatoes & dill ..more Snaps - and strawberries - amongst many other dishes.
We celebrated Midsummer in Stockholm's archipelago - perhaps the eighth wonder of the world.
Spooky discovery on the island walk around - dried Pike heads nailed up on a fisherman's hut.

Cecilia & Rasmus's Wedding |
| |
| |
| |
| |
Cecilia & Rasmus got married yesterday on a lovely sunny summer day at Gryts church, their reception was held at Grytsbergs Säteri.
Cecilia was wearing a wonderful family long lace veil that her mother and sister wore on their own wedding days.
It was a great day and they they looked fantastic - as did their friends and family!
The mens dress code was 'White Tie' which is the most formal attire for a civilian person - Black Tailcoat, White Vest, White Shirt and White Bow Tie.
The vicar held a very good service his gentle manner and approach put Cecilia & Rasmus immediately at ease, his humorous talk about married life had the whole congregation laughing many times - including ourselves. |

Cathrine & Kjell's Wedding |

Cathrine & Kjell tied the knot yesterday in Häverö Kyrka their reception was held at Edebo.
It was a boiling hot day with temperatures around 30° the sun was blazing out of a clear blue sky, we were glad that we had plenty of cold water with us to the beach where we took some shots.
They had a great day and shared it with family and friends.
We could tell that Kjell was really knocked out by how beautiful Cathrine looked - in fact he never stopped looking at her, Kjell's attire was also very stylish, lilac cravat with matching waistcoat and jacket. |

Today was Sweden's national day - a fantastic day with glorious sunshine. In the evening Sweden played against Iceland in a Euro 2008 qualifier, they won 5-0 which made this day complete for most of the Swedish Population.
I was transmitting pictures directly from the pitch, Aftonbladet did an online gallery of 8 of my pictures, readers were seeing these action shots just a couple of minutes after it happened. |

Katarina & Thomas |

| |

Today we had our rehearsal with Katarina and Thomas. They wish a documentation of their wedding day in pure reportage form which we think is just great, they are a cool laid back couple with a great sense of humour - we have blogged them before in March.
Their colour scheme for the wedding is green and lilac with a combination of circles ... I am not sure about the circle part so it will be interesting to see that on the day.
There very useful fun 'Save the date' magnet has been on our fridge door for the last couple of months.
We had a pleasant afternoon together most of which was spent sitting in the sun and relaxing on top of the tower at Cedergrenska where they will be having their reception - the carrot cake was nice. |

Nicole & Daniel |
| |
| |

| |
Yesterday we had our rehearsal with Nicole and Daniel from Germany who will be getting married in the German Church in the old town of Stockholm.
The stain glass windows and surrounding tall buildings let in very little light into the church , I took some light readings and this church will be darker in the summer month of August than some of the churches we have been to in the north of Sweden in the winter.
However the church also known as (St Gertrude) is beautiful, its 86 metre tall spire dominates the skyline of the old town. |
